Behind the Brew: Capturing Bold Vibes and Candid Energy with Mark Consuelos and the Brew Happier Experience | McCafeUltra

There’s nothing like seeing a vision come to life especially when that vision includes a full-blown pop-up living room in the middle of downtown Chicago. I’m Andrew Harris, lead photographer and creative director at DHPixels, and I had the opportunity to shoot one of the most visually fun and high-energy activations I’ve been part of yet: the McCafé at Home “Brew Happier” Mobile experience featuring Mark Consuelos.

We kicked off early 7:30 a.m. sharp and from the jump, the energy on set was unreal. Mark was everything you hope a talent will be: engaged, generous, and truly in the moment. As a photographer, capturing authentic emotion is everything and Mark made that easy. He brought the warmth and positivity that the entire campaign was built around.

But let’s talk about that set.

The crew absolutely crushed it. The centerpiece was a full-scale mobile lounge the Brew Happier Mobile styled like the ultimate cozy living room dropped right into the city. Bright yellow walls, modern art, clocks, color-popped throw pillows, a plush blue rug, and retro-inspired décor made the entire setup feel like a Wes Anderson scene fused with a Saturday morning coffee ritual. Every detail was intentional. Every prop had personality. It wasn’t just a set it was a vibe.

Huge respect to the entire production team: the producers who kept the day running smooth, the directors who brought clarity and creativity, the set designers who built a space that looked incredible from every angle, and the grips and ACs grinding behind the scenes to keep everything seamless. It's these kinds of collaborations that remind me why I love what I do.

Throughout the day, people stopped by to sip freshly brewed coffee, share a smile with Mark, and get a little boost of positivity both from the caffeine and the atmosphere. And the Brew Happier Mobile didn’t stop there the following day, one lucky Chicagoan even got a ride to work in the tricked-out truck, turning their morning commute into a joyful escape.
